Transmit Documents of one or more Corporations

To transmit documents of the corporation whose client file is opened, proceed as follows:

1. On the Transmission menu, click Transmit.
   The Transmit dialog box displays. By default, all eligible documents in the client file will be selected for transmission.
2. Select the documents that you want to transmit.
   You can remove a return, a form or a slip from the operation by clearing the check box available under the column reserved to the EFILE status of the document. If a document is not eligible, the box shown under the EFILE status of this document will not be selected and you will be unable to select the document for transmission.
   
3. Verify the federal identification method selected.
4. Click OK.

To transmit the documents of several corporations from the Client Manager, proceed as follows:

1. Select the corporations for which you want to transmit documents.
   

   Tip: To display only corporations that have T2, CO-17 or AT1 returns with an "Eligible" EFILE value status, use the "EFILE Eligible" filter. In addition, if one of the returns selected contains another eligible document, you can transmit it from the Transmit dialog box.

2. In the Transmission menu, click Transmit.
3. For each of the corporations, select the documents that you want to transmit.
   The eligible documents are selected by default. You can remove any return, document or slip from the list by clearing the check box available in the column reserved to its EFILE status. If a document is not eligible, the box shown under the EFILE status of this document will not be selected, and you will be unable to select it for transmission.
   
4. Verify the federal identification method selected.
5. Click OK.

During the transmission of a corporation’s returns by Internet (T2 EFILE), the GIFI information with the notes relating to the financial statements, will be included in the transmission.

The transmission of a return might not be allowed by Corporate Taxprep if its size exceeds the limit authorized by the CRA. In that case, the size of the return to transmit can be reduced by clearing the transmission of notes to the financial statements.

To prevent transmission of notes to the financial statements of the active return, proceed as follows:

1. Display Form Notes to financial statements (Jump Code: NOTES).
2. Select the Do not transmit electronically box.

Notes: The transmission of the return without the notes to the financial statements might not be allowed if the size of the return to transmit still exceeds the limit authorized set by the CRA. Where you are not transmitting notes relating to the financial statements with the return, you are required to send a hard copy to the CRA.
